This project includes two distinct areas, an outdoor kitchen and an upgrade to the existing vinyl swimming pool.
Black granite countertops and stainless steel cabinets establish the style of the outdoor kitchen. A 36” gas grill, refrigerator and warming drawer equip this spacious kitchen. A bar height fire table serves as the center of the space. A 60” linear burner recessed in the granite countertop between two columns creates a unique outdoor fireplace. An 18” deep bar ledge of matching granite along the outside perimeter of the kitchen provides ample seating space for entertaining.
Large retaining wall block with the look of natural stone outcroppings create a series of walls that provide the elevation needed for incorporating an elevated in-ground spa, waterslide and waterfalls. Encompassed by stone and plantings, the spa sits three feet above the existing pool deck with a waterfall on either side cascading into the pool. A custom waterslide begins eight feet above the pool deck and provides a 32 foot run into the pool. Two waterfalls constructed of natural stone boulders circulate 10,000 gallons of water an hour from the pool. LED landscape lighting was used to light the walkways, pool deck and waterfalls. Color changing LED lights wash the stone walls behind the spa to provide an enchanting light show. The spa, waterfalls and lights are controlled by wireless remote controls. The existing concrete pool deck was transformed using a large manufactured flagstone paver with a contrasting clay paver border and bullnose pool copping. The hard surfaces of this project were softened using primarily native planting. This is truly a unique project.
